Fashion Week Trinidad & Tobago (FWTT) is turning the Queen’s Park Savannah into its longest runway this year, with 250 models making one final walk before that number is whittled down to the 90 select few who will grace the Hyatt runway.
Boasting FWTT’s largest model casting turnout ever, 800 hopefuls showed up at UWI, the Hyatt Regency and Tobago’s Coco Reef Hotel and Resort over the past three months. Just last week, however, the pool was narrowed down to 250 ‘semi finalists’. These selected models will strut their stuff in a historic runway walk around the Queen’s Park Savannah on Sunday, May 2, 2010. FWTT seems to have a feat of World Record proportions on their hands. The male and female models will lap the Savannah decked out in varying degrees of cosquelle, accessorized by lots of magenta – the colour of FWTT3. This spectacle begins at 4:00pm.
Then the action moves to Zen at 6 p.m. for “Fashion Week: The Final Cut” where FWTT judges will announce the final 90 models in front of an audience of the nations’ top designers, family and friends.
